SLIDE & SPLASH
You cannot visit the Algarve and not take your family to this water park! Considered one of the best water parks in Europe, Slide & Splash offers a variety of amusements for all ages, as well as a relaxing hydromassage pool (jacuzzi). The water park is located in Estômbar, east of Lagoa, and is well signposted on Estrada Nacional 125. This park is just a 5-minute drive from Praia do Carvoeiro.
ZOOMARINE
Located near Guia, near Albufeira on the EN125 – approximately 20 minutes drive from Carvoeiro – Zoomarine is a spectacular aquatic life theme park that is fun and educational for the whole family. We can find a zoological center, a 4D cinema, an amusement park, an aquarium with sharks and a maritime museum. There are also outdoor shows that run throughout the day, the Sea Lions, Tropical Birds, Birds of Prey, and Dolphins show. You will also find swimming pools for adults and children and a variety of shops and restaurants, which make Zoomarine an excellent park for the whole family. Don't miss out! There is also a unique opportunity to experience and share the dolphin world through the Dolphin Interaction program. Here participants spend about 30 minutes in the water, where, under the supervision of a trainer, they are invited to interact with the dolphins. This is the only activity you need to book in advance.
AQUALAND
For the hottest days of the year, this is a great opportunity to cool off and enjoy a wide variety of amusements at Aqualand Water Park, also known as "The Big One" (the park occupies over 6 hectares of land). It is located on the EN125, near Alcantarilha, north of Armação de Pêra and about 10 km from Carvoeiro.
KRAZY WORLD
Krazy World located in Algoz (also close to Guia) is another theme park where you can once again get in touch with a wide variety of animals, snakes, camels, llamas, alligators, crocodiles, turtles, iguanas, parrots and farm animals. Krazy World amusement park features a variety of attractions, from mini golf to a large swimming pool, shops, a bar, cafe and restaurant.
LAGOS ZOO
The zoo is just 15 minutes from Lagos (Algarve) between the villages of Barão de São João and Bensafrim. The Lagos Zoo is home to more than 120 animals and 200 botanical species. As examples you can find emus, kangaroos, monkeys, lemurs, gibbons, Vietnamese pigs, toucans, squirrels, exotic birds and graceful flamingos. It is a very popular park for children as they have the opportunity to interact with a variety of domestic and farm animals such as ponies, sheep, goats, ducks and chickens. In the park you can also find a souvenir shop, a snack bar restaurant and a playground for children.
FIESA - Sand Sculptures
The International Sand Sculpture Festival (FIESA) is the largest sand sculpture festival in the world, having been held regularly and annually since 2003. Every year, around 60 artists use 35,000 tons of sand to create various works of art, in an area of 15,000 m², the event being open to the public from morning to night, where the night lights provide a completely different view of the event that is accompanied by circus arts, dance, theater and live music.
