Praia de Carvoeiro
Praia do Carvoeiro was considered the best beach in Europe in 2018 by the European Best Destination website. Praia do Carvoeiro is also known as the "beach town" and is a small beach protected by cliffs on either side. side, located in the center of Carvoeiro. Praia da Marinha
Already considered one of the 100 most beautiful beaches in the world, Praia da Marinha is regularly featured in Turismo de Portugal campaigns as one of the most beautiful gems in the country and the Algarve. Being a magnificent bay surrounded by cliffs, Praia da Marinha offers several caves to explore and emerald green waters that delight diving fans. Praia de Benagil
Praia de Benagil is a charming beach at the bottom of a steep valley, next to a picturesque fishing village. Praia de Benagil is still used by local fishermen who pull their fishing boats on the beach. There are some restaurants in this village where you can eat excellent meals of fresh fish caught along our coast. Benagil Beach is located in one of the most beautiful stretches of the Algarve coast, where the jagged cliffs form caves and grottos. On this beach there is the possibility of renting boats or canoes to go to some isolated beaches and visit the caves that surround the beach.
Praia do Carvalho
Praia do Carvalho is a small beach sheltered by rocks. This beach is about 1200 meters from the entrance to Rocha Brava. To access the beach, we can choose to take steep stairs cut into the cliff face, or go through the car park and go down some steps down a tunnel made in the rock to the beach. Unfortunately, there are no bathrooms or restaurants in Praia do Carvalho so you will have to bring your own food and drinks.
Praia do Paraiso
Praia do Paraíso is a small beach protected by steep cliffs. There are no amenities on the beach, but the “Mar d'Fora” Restaurant, above, is open all year and has an outside terrace to enjoy a meal with views over the cliffs.
Praia de Vale de Centianes
Vale de Centeanes is a protected bay, with some rocks at the eastern end about 2kms east of the village of Carvoeiro. There is a restaurant at the entrance to the beach, with sanitary facilities, open for lunch and dinner. The road to the beach was recently built as well as new parking areas.
Praia Grande
Praia Grande is at the mouth of the river Arade in front of Portimão. It is a wide, long beach with several beach bars open in the summer season. It is particularly good for children as it is inside the jetties at the mouth of the river, and the waves are a little softer than on other beaches. The sand here is very soft and fine. Walking along the beach along the bank of the river we will find fishermen in their work and the village of Ferragudo. In this locality we can find several bars and restaurants serving fresh fish just caught on our coast.
Praia dos Caneiros
Located in the parish of Ferragudo, Praia dos Caneiros is one of the best beaches in the municipality of Lagoa. Characterized by having in front of it a large rock isolated by the water called Leixão das Gaivotas, this beach surrounded by cliffs of great beauty will allow you to make the most of the Algarve sun.
